Which toy do you wish you still had.

Clearing out attic space at the moment and came across loads of old games, photos etc. But my prize find was a Teddy Ruxpin... what toy do you wish you still had?

I used to have a Dinky Foden army truck. It had two sets of double rear wheels, a plastic tailgate and canvas. Sadly, our family dog had a bit of a go at it and trashed the plastic bits. It then got trodden on, and buckled a couple of axles, but I still loved it!

Luckily, I still have the (Georgian period style) dolls house my dad made for me when I was about 5 years old and will treasure it forever.

Hmmm....I wish I still had my Dinky Starship Enterprise that fired the yellow disks, and the companion Klingon Battle Cruiser.


Matter of fact I wish I still had most of my old toy cars etc. And I wish I had never played with them and kept them in their original boxes....

Have you seen the price Thunderbirds, Bond Aston Martin, Batmobile etc reach these days?

Do bikes count? I miss my Grifter.

I think getting it was one of those catalyst moments - combination of super cool bike that i'd drooled over for 6 months and me getting to an age where my parents trusted me to go off all day away from the vacinity of the house. Of course, I had better bikes later on, but nothing ever felt like when I owned the Grifter.

A sense of freedom I'm probably still chasing with every car purchase.

Another (ex) Grifter owner here! Damn that thing was heavy, still managed to get some air on it though!

I went out and bought them! I currently have Two Dinky UFO Interceptors and the UFO "Mobile", The Dinky Panavia Tornado, Jaguar, Harrier and Phantom(US Navy version). I also got hold of some Konami Models of the UFO, Interceptor, Sky Diver, Shuttle and Mobile as well as the Space 1999 Eagle and Hawk.

Know what you mean...i remember getting my silver grifter..great days..sigh

I had a 'Starbird' i absolutely loved it. In case you don't know, it was a white spaceship with electronic engine sounds and lasers..!!

Actually, my wife found one on ebay a couple of years ago for me....totally original, boxed..totally mint. It's kept safe as maybe it's value will increase in years to come?

I had a Grifter - sky blue, it was the one ton forerunner of the BMX.

I still have my StarBird in it's original box!

Sadly, getting "air" was how mine passed away. I recounted the tale on here a while back, briefly it involved a bloody big dirt ramp and a heavy landing (was there any other type on a Grifter?). Front forks bent really badly then I had a bright idea of trying to straighten them by riding into a wall.
