Just had the local conservative candidate for my area at the door. Nice chap, but not seemingly that interested in my concerns about fuel tax. He was very interested and agreeable about civil liberties which is my main issue.

Can't wait to see if the labour candidate comes around. I'm still going to be seriously considering voting independant though (so long as he/she isn't chewing bamboo shoots).

Part of my reason for staying in all day today is to meet and greet canvassers

We're off on holiday on Monday, and I want a chance to rip them all to shreds - ok I might only remove a limb from the Tory

you get canvassers? I've never met, spoken to, or could recognise the candidates from my area.

Apparently I'm a Lib Dem target area as well

Where I am is a safe Labour seat

50% Labour
30% Tory

At the last election, and no I haven't seen any canvassers.

Knock Knock, "Hello, I am your local ***** party candidate"

Me, "Oh, I rather hoped you were selling double glazing, or a Jehovahs witness or Mormon, or a Pikey selling oven mitts, I would have invited you in if you were, but I do have some standards".

Already have this sorted. Put a hand written sign on the front door. 'No political canvasers to knock the door or ring the bell. If you do, I promise I won't smack you in the face. But do you believe me......' Saw someone through the glass today, they read it and walked away!

If you do get the Jo-Wits knocking on your door, tell them you're a mason and watch them run!
