This is beginning to annoy my head. I'm trying to figure out the names of cars, from the clues provided. Since I'm stuck on a few, I reckon this is the best place to ask.

Example:
Sport played on horseback. 4 letters. Answer is Polo.

Here's what I need help on:

Cross country runner. 7 letters.
Brisk and lively. 7 letters.
Pitch, length, quality of sound. 6 letters.
Sounds gentlemanly. 6 letters.
West Indian sound.7 letters.
The west wind. 6 letters.
Sounds like a personal attraction. 7 letters.
Opponent. 10 letters.

Any answers welcome, and thanks!

Whoops,

Pitch, length, quality of sound should be 6 letters, not 7. My mistake.....

I'd better edit my origional post.

Hi ho, still stuck on a few.........

Cross counry runner.... 7 letters

Not rural...... 5 letters

Pitch, length, quality of sound.... 6 letters

West Indian sound....... 7 letters (I'm told there's no such car name as a calypso, which is a pity as that would've fitted nicely).
