Posted the story below on Biker Banter but they are all nutters and ignored it.
The thing is this happened last week yet I can’t stop thinking about it. It is really playing on my mind.

"Riding my bike on my way to work this evening I was following a small 4x4,when we came onto a straight section of road. There was no oncoming traffic. I was about to nip past but decided not to because we were getting near my turnoff and I might have held up the car I just passed if the junction was busy. At that moment a car shot out from a driveway on the left in front of the 4x4 and went right so it was oncoming.
Phew! if I had made the overtake manoeuvre I would have ploughed right into it.
A split second life or death decision. I’m glad I’m still around. But feeling a little uncomfortable thinking about it.”

Had a car accident when I was 18, car rolled 3 times landed on its roof, missed a tree by foot or so.

Edited to add luckliy I was in the passenger seat in the front and not in the back of the car as I usually would have been. The back didn't have seatbelts.

Wrote off 2 cars (driving like a prize cock when I was 18)

Rode my motorbike through a fence because of target fixation

Narrowly avoided skiing into a tree (several occasions)

Fell off a rock (luckily on the side I fell the drop was only 10 foot the other side was several thousand )

Hurtling down a mountain pass in a share-taxi (Nissan Cheery I think) stuffed to the hilt with Nepalese.

I'm in the rear on the passenger side, it's so full I've got my left arm and shoulder out of the window, with my arm hooked back in through the front window.

Car goes hurtling round a right hand bend and the door latch gives up, as the door swings open I swing out.

Fortunately I caught the door pillar as it slid fro mmy elbow, past my wrist and into my fingers.

I must say that at about 35 mph, the 1500 foot view straight down into the valley floor is not something I would recomend or like to repeat...

Fortunately, everyone in the taxi, grabbed hold of everyone else and someone reached out to pull me back in.

Needless to say there were a few extra prayers and offerings made in the temple that night!

I once came round a bend in my old ford orion (shut it, I was 17!) and came up against a tractor broadside in the road, threw both anchors out and stopped with the extended pick up thingy through the windscreen and 4" from my face

1/2" .....the steering wheel of my then company car broke my sternum ............ having hit a very large HGV trailer at 50+ mph. The driver forgot he was pulling a trailer while he did a right turn across a dual carriageway.

A bloke in a Cavalier appeared out of the blue from behind 4 cars and proceeded to attempt to overtake them all in the path of two rapidly approaching vehicles - a BMW and my TVR The chap in the beemer and myself took the necessary evasive action but I really *really* didn't think we'd be able to stop on time. We narrowly escaped a 7 car pile up...

I remember thinking "I'm going to die" and the last image I had in my head was that of my two little girls.

This past winter I was driving down a side road, and as I approached an intersection with a major road, I suddenly found myself on a big sheet of ice, even though I hadn't encountered any other ice for at least a week... at any rate, it just so happened that there were no cars coming in the near lane and as soon as I got traction, I did one of those movie-stunt type slides onto the road. It didn't really hit me until later on that the road was usually packed with vehicles at that time due to rush hour...
