Tactical Voting?

The lib dem candidate for my area drinks in my local pub (big guiness drinker, not much cop at darts 
)and it would appear that the best way to oust the labour MP is to vote lib dem. The only downside of this is that while the lib dem candidate is a sound chap, neither he nor his party have anything to offer me. Tactical voting may work, but i'd still rather vote for a party has policies that i come close to agreeing with.

Tactical voting may work, but i'd still rather vote for a party has policies that i come close to agreeing with. hmmm, not sure about this, surely given the situation of a likely Lib-Lab pact to get tony back into office, then a vote for the Liberals is as good as a vote for tony? Regardless if you think your side is going to lose, you should stick to principals and vote for them - it could be too many people voting tactically which are keeping the tories out of that seat.

I see what you are saying Greig-but probably the best we can hope for is a Labour victory with a much smaller majority.
By the way is there anywhere that shows you results (numbers) on an individual constituency basis.
I thought my constituency was only a 2 horse race: either Nu Labia or the Yellow lot. I was going to go down the tactical route too, until the BBC said that Bristol West is a 3 way marginal with the Conservatives in with a shout.
This has caused me to rethink the logic and I have come to a conclusion that I really want labour out, and I don't care who wins to do it.
Now I just have to decide which candidate has the best chance.... and a large gin may be needed before a Yellow vote.

I really don't know what to do.
I live in an area that has 54 councillors of which 8 are conservative. As someone who hates wasteful use of tax, and would love Mr Flights version of cutting public spending, as well as freedom from guilt because I want to better myself. I would normally vote conservative (certainly not Labour and absolutely not Lib Dems). But with 22 Labour seats, followed by 14 lib dems out of 54 am I going to waste my vote?
Unless I can find a good reason not to I will vote blue, wasted or not - I just wish they were a little more radically right, I think in many ways it will cost them votes not to be.
