I'm confused. Those of you that read the General Motorsport forum will know that I ran a car into a tree at 70mph on Sunday, and whilst most of my general ailments stemming from that event seem to be getting better, the limp that I acquired is not.

To elaborate, when we hit the tree, the offside front wheel decided that it wanted to live in the footwell along with my feet, now when I did my post-crash diagnostic check, my brain announced that it didn't think there was much wrong with me at all vis a vis pain. But I have this strange feeling in my right leg and a bump but no bruise. Anyone with any medical type knowledge out there to give some advice? I mean, I surely can't have broken anything can I? I would have thought I'd be in pain if I had.

Any suggestions?

Without seeing it it's hard to tell.

Are you saying you aren't in pain with it at all?!

Bloody nutter - don't p!ss about, go to A&E now. And don't drive yourself; you may make any possible injury worse, and you may be leaving with a cast or similar.

Not anything I'd call real pain. I know I've sort of sprained my ankle and that feels like it has when I've done it before, but the leg thing is about six inches up from my ankle and it just feels stiff and unnatural when I walk. Also from a straight comparison point of view, the outside of my right leg does not feel to the touch like my left leg. All I can remember from the sensation at the time of the accident is feeling a sort of burning sensation in the area just after the crash. I don't know, maybe I should go to the walk in centre.

I can't get a cast, I'm co-driving on Saturday, I'd never get in the car I have to fold up and post myself through the roll cage as it is

Yes, I was attended to by the paramedics but since I fully expected my leg hurt but could walk assumed that there was nothing wrong with it. They seemed more concerned about the blurred vision and high blood pressure.

hmm... two choices present themselves to my mind.

1: got to A and E, possibly get a cast. possibly dont drive on saturday.

2: dont go to A and E, drive on saturday. possibly dont walk ever again.

dont be a lemon, get down to the A and E. if nothing else, at leat youll know. you can always refuse treatment >see previous post<

That sounds like a nerve thing. Don't about, go to A&E now. I'm no doctor but if you let it get worse you might end up paralysed in that leg. Nerves don't grow back.

In my experience, whenever I go to hospital with an injury I've got through racing the doctors look at me like I'm a total idiot (this is not a regular event...) and then are very sort of critical about the fact that I got hurt... Don't know why. I told one once that the neck injury I had was caused by my best crash ever though

sounds nasty, get to the vet sharpish, I left a "bad bruise" on my shin a few years back, turned out to be a fracture, not sure if the docs could have done much but now i regularly get pins and needles in my foot, and its always cold! Its still got a bit of a bump on it now.
