I'm not particularly a collector or anything like that, but I do have a few decent signatures in my pocession...

My favourite has to be a framed picture signed by James Hunt.

And yours ?

Oh, and my worst has to be Showaddy Waddy!

I have all the Led Zepellin albums signed by all 4 members of the band (except Remasters, of course, cos John Bonham was dead by then).

I have various Hawkwind albums signed by various members of the band who have perfomed at various times in their varied history.

I really want an Audrey Hepburn one.

Trouble is they're all really expensive. I'm not a fan of buying autographs, but I don't think there is much chance of getting one in person

I'd rather have a letter or something like that, but it's not going to happen. Unless I get one of those £30 ones from ebay with a COA printed out by Joe Bloggs.

Last year I was involved in the filming of one of the last interviews that Brian Clough gave.

I had a copy of his autobiography with me, which he gladly signed, and addressed it to my son.

He died about three months later.

Roger Waters, Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright

Torn off the bottom of their contract with one of the major labels.

Yes THE actual contract.

Was acquired when a friend started working in the business.

I've got Alec Guinness' signature knocking around somewhere.

I always fancied a good photo of the Rat Pack signed.

Roudolf Carraciola (sp), Herman Lang and Richard Seaman - signed Donnington pre-war programme, think it is the 1938 one.

2 Original signed Schumacher photos and one of RB.

Have a menu from 'The Grand Prix Ball' held in Birmingham in about 1980 signed by all the drivers in attendance, including Fangio, Hunt and Lauda. only ones that are missing from it are Denny Hulme and Stirling Moss, although I plan to get his added later this year with luck.

Have a fair few other driver autograghs, a couple of signed prints, Eddie Irvine and Innes Ireland, prints, etc. Have also got a signed menu from one of the BRDC GP dinners signed by Ken Tyrrell.

I do collect a few but never go out of my way to do it, most were obtained by my dad years ago or got on the off chance. Can think of loads I should have got but didn't want to 'intrude'/ didn't have pen/paper on me, etc.

Billy Pierce (the comedian I'd never heard of) signed my leg cast when I was about 10. Wouldn't let them cut through it when they took it off!

This thread got me thinking about what I have actually got in the way of these and remembered that I have got J-PM, Button, Sato, Pizzonia (sp), Oli Gavin, and a whole lot of others tucked away.

I would strongly recommend going to a few F3 meets a year and picking up some of the driver’s autographs whilst you are there. Okay so 5 years later you might wonder who Robbie Kerr was again but on the other hand you might just have the autograph of the 2009 World Champion signed to ‘Dave’ or whatever.
