.. as I just found it, installed pretty haphazardly, behind the glovebox in my new car

has a speaker, microphone, GPS/GSM antenna, and a load more wires going off somewhere into the car.. oh and it had a working Orange SIM inside.

Have MI5 been tracking me?

edit: I know what it is, move along

Big Brother is in control........plugged into the car, micrphone to record your voice......I think it's the first of the the black boxes. You will drive no faster than 70mph on motorways you will not swear and curse when seeing a speed camera, you will obey Lord Tony of the Blair.

well there you go ..

It's a tracking unit. Just spoke to someone at the company who confirmed it was one of their units from the part number. Will speak to someone on Tuesday and get it transferred into my name.

saves me installing a Tracker now .. nice.

Removed photos just in case had serials on it etc

I had guessed that from the off to be honest, the SIM card and GPS antenna gave it away a bit

I wanted to know which one it was!

Very annoying. I just unchecked "Play sounds in web pages" in IE6 tools, options, advanced but she just carries on talking

it's a natty flash animation which is playing the sound, you'll need to right click on the flash itself to disable sounds.

Easier way is to not go to the website.
