Deliberate or what?

I've seen the Rainbow script which I believe to be an urban myth but I was watching TV with my daughter last week and spotted these great gaffs but were they deliberate?

Barney

Kids clearing up after a ball-dispensing machine goes a bit mad.
"What a load of balls, Barney"
"It sure is"

Worse still, "Big Cook, Little Cook". Little Cook has just told a story about space and is asked how he got back. Easy he says, I just squeezed my icing tube at which point he squeezes his icing tube. Cut to Big Cook and a load of white icing spurts onto his top lip which he licks away and goes "Mmmmmm".

I'm sorry, no-one could fail to spot the double interpretation there!

One that still makes me laugh, ages ago, but still brings a smile.. (and one of the few things one can translate from german and it means the same)

Standing at pedestrian lights and a small girl holding onto mums hand, sees a very (huge in fact) pregnant lady on the other side of the road waiting to cross.

Funnily everything went quiet and little girls chirps up in an innocent but carrying voice
"Who pumped her up mummy?"

Lots of smiles, a very red face on the other side of the road and a very embarrassed mother.

Double entendre and "out of the mouths of children" springs to mind........

When my daughter was about 3 she wanted to go out to play but it was pouring rain and we wouldn't let her.

She was sitting gazing out of the window and then turned and said "I can't go out cos it's f**keting raining..."

Sentiments that will be familiar to all open-top drivers in typical bad weather...

Or my son when he was 5 - he was reading a top gear magaizine and suddenly looked up and said "dad, what's sex?"

"Eh?"

"What's sex?"

"Well em, well, it's em... i'll tell you when you're older"

"But I want to know now!"

"Why"

"Cos it says here - 0-60 8.2 secs..."

This morning, whilst waiting for the Virgin joke to be announced they played "House of Fun" by Madness, and my son asked me to explain to him what it was all about... I went with the "I will tell you when you are older" too!

More of a single entendre this.

Last summer we had some friends and their kids round for a barbecue.

It was a hot day so we filled up one of those inflatable paddling pools for the kids to splash around in. The kids, as 2 to 4 year olds do, all whipped their kit off to play in the water.

Next thing our Lucy, 2 years old, came running out of the pool laughing her head off shouting,

"hoo hoo hoo I touched Finn's willy!!!"

Nothing like starting as you mean to go on...

Dont start on this, My mother, when suggesting to my other half that she should be more adventurous, said that she should try walking on the wild side and humming the tune. My other half then had to explain what the song was about...

I have that in a flash file somewhere...

Apparently it was the cast mucking around in an internal christmas special, It was never aired until TV Offal found it and decided to air it, and there was much rejoicing.

All not true and an urban myth I am afraid - makes a good story though....

Sadly, off_again is correct:

www.snopes.com/radiotv/tv/pugwash.htm

Real characters' names: Master Mate, Tom the Cabin Boy, and Pirates Barnabas and Willy.
