Hope no one minds me putting this here..

As a keen collector of '70's led watches, the inventor of the very first solar powered led watch, and my all time favorite LED, died on Feb 16 due to
lingering complications of an illness.

I will gratefully remember him
for developing the Synchronar Solar-Powered LED watch.

Thanks Roger

Also a watch collector, sad to hear this as the Synchronar is one of those must own watches. Hearing that Mr.Riehl has passed on is very sad, he has been working on the Mark IV for a few years now... it may remain un-finished

Unfortunately not only is incredibly hard to find a Synchronar working, but when you do, the seller knows the value

One on ebay at the moment around the £500 mark, and it still hasnt met the reserve.

I did bid on this hoping the seller didn't know what he had got .... but he did.
