programs that give you a rundown on the top 50 or top 100 'fill in anything here' tv moments ever.
Just watching the most blobiest moments ever on channel 5 and had a forest gump moment (where it suddenly dawns on him there is no point continuing running anymore) when i suddenly realised this tripe is just not worth watching. Those commentators talk about each moment as though they remember it personaly but we all know they are breifed about each and every clip and told what to say from a script...and to top it all off these people are nobodys talking bollox about something they have absolutley no recollection of even if in the remotest possibility they have ever seen it before anyway.
Has anybody else had a dawning moment with these programs?

It's official.
No more new television programs.
The BBC announced today that it will no longer be making any new television programs. In the interest of cost cutting, all output is now centred on repeats (including news and current affairs) and remixed "best of" and "top ten soapy moments" type programs.
... Only kidding!

... Only kidding!Top 100 films - OK
Top 100 songs - OK
Top 100 TV moments - alright I suppose
Top 100 sitcom jokes - Probably a good programme
Top 100 adverts - WTF?
Top 100 random/rude/reality/news/embarrassing/crap/chavvy/soap moments? - gimme strength!
What's going to be next?
Top 100 CCTV moments?
Top 100 Unconvincing Reconstructions?
Top 100 Natural Disasters?
Hopeless filler-TV IMO.

I have actually quit watching the rotbox as the drivel puts me into rant mode every time. I won't even start citing examples, needless to say my views on TV material make Victor Meldrew look like Bruce Forsythe
I never watch ITV any more unless it's Morse, Frost or a good film. Channel 5 seems to have got its act together recently with some good comedy, films and arts programmes, whereas Channel 4 has gone downhill with the exception of The Simpsons.
BBC 1&2 still have the best output by a country mile.
I have nearly managed to stop watching the rot box completely.
I have this "thing" for Time Team, and motoring themes, will not pay for more telly than I have to (so sky etc is a no no) so last week I spent about 2 hours watching telly (Time team + 1 hour with Mrs gopher who complained she didn't have a husband who fell asleep in front of the telly, so I duly obliged!)

My Dad and I had this fixation with Meet The Ancestors, but it got moved to UKTV History and we don't have digital

Television is currently making me sick.
Heres my top 100 programmes i hate....
Any "reality" tv show.
Any soap, apart from imperial leather...arf!
Any athletics.
Any prog with snooker, jumping or balls of any description in it.
Any Politics.
Any talent show.
Any non educational programme except teletubbies.
Most news programmes but especially c5, and its awful cacopony rising to a strangled shriek music...
Any "top 100" program.
Most travel shows.
Any Antiques show with David Dikcleson and the rest of em.
Any digging up medieveal toilets typ programs.
Programs that are watchable:
Most educational programs-horizon, equinox etc etc.
Some films but no horror kak..i find them tediously predictable....and they scare me...
ANY motorsports but specifically Rallycross, indycar, rallying drag and F1...and anything else that has revving engines in it.
Some sci fi stuff, but has to be good...
Some comedy programs-blackadder (the best) and others.
OOps just noticed my error...i dont hate programs...im not yer average hater...i hate entire genre's...

the top 100 cartoon were on last night. I managed from about 57 to about 48 before I got bored and switched off.
I recorded it, on the off chance there was something good. Turned the dvd off to find it still running at some ungodly hour. How long was it
