driving/racing gloves

being new to the forum i apologise in advance if this isn`t in the correct "place". i`ve done a search on the question i`m about to ask but had no results. so:-

i am looking for recommendations,feedback and places that sell gloves that "grip" the steering wheel.

i have absolutely no idea about race wear etc. but noticed quite a few members of my car club using gloves for trackdays. something that had never even occured to me. i wont be needing something that complies with rules/regulations as i`m just a novice track day attendee. so if anyone could shed some light it`d be much appreciated.

However I still drive like a girl on the track

No dissin' meant towards any of the PH girlies who drive like a bloke, on the track. Nor wishing to impune any quality or quantity of girliness that may or may not be present in the female of the PH species; I'm sure some of them have more balls than a lot of blokes, which will no doubt some as a hell of a shock for any male partner they may have: not presupposing them (the girls) to be heterosexual in the first place as they may of course be a commuter of the polar opposite bus (or even tram). Notwithstanding that the nomenclature 'bloke' with respect to conduct on a racetrack cannot be presumed to apply to Julian Clary or Graham Norton, since it is fair to assume that they, too, drive like girls. Nor is it kosher to extrapolate from the foregoing that if Clary and co. drive like girls on the track, and I myself do so too, that I must align myself sexually with the hereuntofore-mentioned persons.

political correctness take some doing doesn't it? sigh, bring back the good old days of male chauvinism, women drinking babycham, "on the buses" on telly, the 3 day week, tiswas, jumpers for goalposts ....

if you saw/remember "the league of gentlemen" how would you categorise the driving style of bab's cabs?
