Bloomin' 'eck! 150 mph on a push bike - I'd have been kecking myself!
I remember hitting 40 downhill on my old multi-speed bike as a kid and thought it was the fastest thing in the world..... and then promptly fell off and wrapped my bike around a lamp post and knocked myself unconcious for about 20 minutes.....
imagine going 150...? bricking it? That aint the half of it....

Can that be for real? Would imagine the wheel bearing would cease up at that speed!! NUTTER!
The bearings should be good for that speed. I've had over 60 coming down an Alpine pass and the only thing that concerned me at that speed was the heat from braking, which may cause tyres to go pop --- he'll have had discs on though I would have though. However, I'm not sure if turbulence would allow him to go that fast without some sort of fairing. Bloke on a bike isn't that aerodynamic.

I'm sure you could manage that speed. I'd give it a go. You wanna try an 8 foot drop at 50, that's fun . As for brakes, my bike has 4 pot hydraulic discs. A closed system so the don't fade. Bike technology is quite advanced!
True no fade on a bike these days, but at 150mph, you might not have much in the way of brake pad left.
SWEET! I need to make that mod to my mountain bike. I could get to work and school so much faster than in my truck!
I've been 140mph in a car, 75mph in a boat & 87mph on skis and can't imagine what 150mph on a bike would feel like. If you got tense you would be an instant garage sale!

87mph on skis
Where did you do that ?????
I've only ever done 40-50mph, and that felt FAST ! Ok, I've only been 5 times.....
Phil
I raced as a youngster and later on I was working fulltime at a ski shop and parttime as a ski companies assnt sales rep. We got the ski manufacturer and some others to sponsor some speed skiing events for the average Joe. It was at one of these events that I was caught on RADAR at 87mph.
Fastest run of the day!
At another ski area we used a ropetow to access the speed course. The ropetow was powered by a Chevrolet 454 big block v8, we clocked the local ski patrol riding up the tow at 55mph.
