First episode doesn't look to great:

Jack Bauer no longer part of CTU, but defence for Secratary
Kim & Chase no longer in the series
President Palmer no longer President
all new staff in a brand new CTU (relatively bad acting by the lot of them as well)

I remember season 3 which started off badly and then picked up after about 5 episodes with a "whoah, didn't see that coming", anyone else hoping for the hook to arrive quickly?

Its not on in the UK. To watch it, you have to download a bittorrent client and download it, using links provided by the above site.

It will be on with Sky One in a few months time, I'll probably watch it again

I'm waiting for them to release all the seasons (they reckon they will stop at season 5) on hi-def DVD, then I'm buying the lot.

I watched the second last night as well (same method as POD albeit different site - make sure you get hdtv.lol torrents) and it's getting better, but it certainly doesn't have the "edge-of-the-seat" bits of Season 3 yet. And the acting is still dire and I can see the shaky camera work becoming repetitive as well

24 won't be shown on terrestial TV anymore, Sky offered them more money hence all the adverts last year of "If you don't have SKY you don't get Jack". Sucks bigtime IMO, but then we all downloaded it and watched it anyway At present it's still just been shown in the USA either way.

I have boycotted 24 ever since Sky got hold of it. They made the first episode of season 3 an hour and quarter long FFS - half an hours adverts.
The whole point of the programme for me is that it jumps from one scene to another but with all the adverts you forget where you are.

I wait for the DVDs and then watch it in 3 or four hour chunks.

Edit: SP

I too was bloody annoyed Sky got the rights for it. Solution was to just record the episode and watch it on tape, fast-forwarding through the adverts Does kind of ruin the continuity of it all through!

it's an American show hence the adverts and why when it was on BBC it was only on for 45mins.

Thats the benefit of downloading them as well - the encoders stop/start the process at teh ad breaks (you see the clocks counting up twice in short succession).

Season 4 out already! cool.
was pissed that SKY hhad season 3 but tin the end I got it from lovefilm and watched it over a few evenings.

Will try and DL season 4, but will probably end up just R&B'ing it like I did with S3 as I have no rich mans telly

I agree, it was much better on BBC 2. It's the quantity of the adverts that bothers me, every few minutes and the adverts last ages on Sky.

A friend of mine at Uni had the CTU phone ring as the ringtone on his mobile! Anyone know where he might have got it, as he is out of the country for a year and I can't ask him!

Thought I'd update this post.

24 is bloody amazing now, really on the edge of your seat type plot - you wonder where on earth it is going to take you!

Definetly worth checking out, I'm watching episode 11 at the moment and it's all about to go off - I'm left wondering as to where it will head next!
