1) No idea
2) From Bordeaux (France)
3) Probably Spanish
4) As (2)
Judging by the vintages, if they were bought recently they might be rather good ones...
The reason I added 'if bought recently' is because some wines are supposed to be drunk young. Hence if the 1995 bottle was supposed to be drunk in 1996 but has been collecting dust for 8 years, it won't be up to much. Does it give any clue about lifespan on the labels?
Oh heck, just drink the f^ckers!

All should be drunk now
Chrioubles is a Beaujolais cru...Loron is a high-quality family business - approx retail value £8
1er Cotes de Bordeaux is a sweet white wine - approx retail value £6
The Rioja - mid-range, approx retail value £8
Ch. de Sours can be either red, white or rose - retail value somewhere between £15-£20 for the red which I'm guessing is what you've got.
Cheers Condor
The 1995 Chateau de Sours Bordeaux looks like a white to me, IIRC I was given a pair (I've already drunk the Red a while back )
Thought that might be a decent bottle, it was given to me by a guy with a Bentley and a Lexus Ls400 who said it was from a vineyard 'he had an interest in'
I really must start drinking wine at home more often , my kitchen is rather well stocked! (mostly Australian and new world which I know my way around fairly well, and most come with helpful labels!)

Talking of wines - we have just been sorting out our out house, and we have counted up that we have nearly 100 bottles of unopened wine that has been given to us over years, along with numerous crates of beer and bottles and bottles of unopened spirits. Then popping my head up into hte attic, i see more bottles of wine and spirits all unopened. Party at my place I'm thinking!

For some reason the mods didn't spot this in GG:

Reminds me of an old episode of the "Avengers" where, Patrick M'cNee John Steed was captured whilst trying to impersonate a world renowned wine expert.........
As a test, to discover if he was the "real" expert or not, the criminals gave Steed a very rare wine to taste, to see if he was the genuine person or not, holding a gun to his head....
Of course Steed knew the correct answer, and finished off by stating the wine was "from the north end of the vinyard"............

Is that Hugh Ryman? He made his fortune with the stationers, developed Majestic Wine Warehouses, then threw it in to move to Bodeaux. I'm pretty sure he bought Ch de Sours. Some years since I had a bottle, but it's OK.
Hugh's son Nick is well known in the wine business - he specialises in producing decent (if rather uniform) wines from crappy little places.
