I'll be about.

Don't feel like celebrating much as it has been a lousy year, and to round it off I have had food poisoning for the past three days so have had to cry off visiting friends as a) I can't eat anything and b) I need immediate unfettered access to the smallest room at a moments notice.

So I'll be having a virtual drink here.

I'll either be here, at a mates mates party or watching Eric Clapton on Jools Holland.

More than likely it'll be a mix of 1 and 2

Cheers. It is bloody nasty - I got it from a lunch out on Tuesday. Paid £20 for what will probably end up as five days of not eating and still crapping for Britain.

Had Botulism once - that was truly appalling - easy to see how it can kill.

Still, could be worse.

I hope you didn't get any food poisoning from pubs in Offley ?

I'm in tonight - on antibiotics for some infection - no alcohol for a week

thats a very dangerous thing to say Ted

I was guessing you'd put the GS into Read Only mode later to be honest.

Just about to take kids to their party venues and have organised taxis to collect them at 1:30. So for the first time in living memory new year's eve will be just the two of us, at home with Santa's DVDs, several bottles of grog and a selection of pies. See you from time to time at the P&P bar - Happy New Year!
