The 2004 thread got me thinking. Does anyone make New Years resolutions and keep them?

Not being one for them generally, I set myself a goal in Jan 2004 to get more out of life for me. (Single parent to 4 yr old, working full-time = not much 'me' time).

It panned out OK - got my first convertible (and it won't be my last), spent a few weeks with my best mate who lives in Spain, went regularly to gymn/swim in work time, made pampering at the beauticians a standard and generally made best use of any free time. Oh, and found PH!

Resolution for 2005 - less purchasing on impulse (excused if I see the TVR of my dreams )

I made one last year, not to smoke anymore. I haven't had a ciggy since that day and don't miss it either.

I like the sound of White Van Man's resolutions.

Likewise, I quit smoking last year and didn't look back.

Now I am going to quit all drinking (apart from the occasional binge)

Accept that the ladies are a hobby more expensive, time consuming and ultimately soul destroying than cars, bikes and yachts put together & devote more time to work.
