BBC channels on Sky?

I hav'nt had a signal for any of the BBC channels on Sky for the past 2 days. I've rebooted the box and all the normal stuff, but they are not coming back. Perfect blue sky and all other channels are absolutly fine... anyone else have this problem?

Make sure you unplug the receiver for a while. It builds up static.
Try that, clean the card, all the usual things, should work.

I'm pretty interested in this,

we have resisted sky for a long time and are now about to give in as our BBC1 reception is very very bad.

However if reception on sky can be as bad?

No, the reception is fine. Sometimes you need to switch off the receiver and switch it on again a minute later because it builds up static (I think) on the card. You shouldn't need to do this very often though.
No problems with the reception.

Do you subscribe to Sky or do you just take the free channels?

Have the Family Pack.... Strangely the BBC channels just started working about 30 mins ago. more that 2 days after it went.

I got Sky 2 years ago. Dish already on wall. bought Sky+ box, phoned BBC, number in Sky menu, who sent me a free card with all the free channels. But I beleive that this free service has been withdrawn & you have to suscribe to a package.
