Spent a few minutes arsing around in a supercharged Chevy V8 Hot Rod type thingy earlier, which was pretty cool.

I need a new table and it got me thinking about that bloke who makes the small block V8 coffee tables. I know the pics have been posted on here numerous times but I was wondering if anybody here actually had one, and could tell me how much it would cost to get one for myself, and how I can contact the guy?

Cheers!

I bought one just under a year ago, and very nice it is too

I'll see if I've got the guy's email address at home, although I emailed him earlier on this year and didn't get a reply, and his website appears to have gone offline.

Shoehorn a running V8 into something. I bloody well hope that block was scrap.

People making art out of well useable parts make me sick. How about a Supercharger Ashtray? or a set of seats made from some Magnesium Minilites welded together?

The bloke is an commiting an act of automotive sacrifice, as a pistonhead, you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself for wanting one

They can't be that difficult to make, shirley? Scrappies, steam cleaner spot of weld bit of glue jobs a good 'un.

In fact if anyone can point me in the direction of a free knackered V8 engine block i'll undertake to build one and post some piccies

I know right were to find some out of spec V8 blocks for little to nothing, but you know what? I want a BMW v12 table for my apartment next year. Whoever can find me one of those I'll trade straight across for the v8.

You called? Not difficult, just time consuming, the suckers and the glass would have to come from a decent glass merchant(toughened for safety).

A mate built one years ago using a polished Honda CBX engine (it had siezed and was scrap) complete with carbs, the chromed exhausts made up the legs/feet. Stunning but the girlie in his life hated it!!

I've got a Lotus T/C cam cover as a wall ornament, that's not popular with the girlies either!!!

Happy festivities

When I worked at MIRA a few years back, there was a coffee table kicking around made from the rear wheel of a Diablo (which had been crash-tested, so was scrap )
I lusted after that for a long time...

Calm down chap, could be a crafty way to get her indoors to keep those precious, hard to find bits clean and safe till the day you need them, I've lost count of the number of 'bits' that have deteriorated in the garage. Nice warm lounge would be a much better storage place!!!

in a similar vein to the above, ive got 8 scrap alloys with knackered tyres. theyre worth about a tenner. OR, i could make them into something, but im lacking in inspiration, any ideas what i can turn them into?

Alloy is doing well as scrap, take them to your local scrap metal dealer, exchange them for beer tokens and get drunk
