Hope you forgive me, just found how to post pics!

XL426 at Southend Airport, have been at the controls many times!

My Mini that I built from scratch, and use it eveyday!

Extra 300L that I was flying up until the the end of this summer, just been sold to fund a new project.

My everyday office, Boeing 737-700. Seen here in the hangar.

And a couple of pics of the Cerbera, outside the house.

Sorry for boring you, just wanted to see if it works!

Have a great Christmas

When you're running down the runway in the Vulcan, exactly how tempted are you to pull back on the stick?

Should have kept the 10" on the mini. Other than that, looks like a nice job.

That Vulcan though - could it fly? I appreciate it's not certified for flight, but is it airworthy from a technical standpoint?

If that's the case, why are that other lot fiddling around up at Bruntingthorpe. Why not just fly yours?

Yeah ......but you'd be a hero for a few fleeting moments for all of us who'd love to see the old bird back in the air (what's a career between PistonHead friends? ).......bit like that EE Lightning technician who 'broke chocks & chains' on a ground run when re-heat was applied.....legend has it,that he flew the circuit! ....anyone can expand on the legend please feel free to detail all here please

The Lightning was at Binbrook and was having fault diagnosis carried out on it as it had a bad vibration on the Airframe on the take-off roll. A Squadron Leader (non Pilot) was taxing that Aircraft at speeds of up to 80 knts along the main runway. The Throttle 'slipped' into re-heat and the rest is history!

Flew a high at high speed with no canopy, as it had test equipment strapped to the side! He made it down having only had a few hours in a chipmunk!

The Aircraft in question is on display at the IWM Duxford.

As for the Vulcan. I am going to sort something out this summer for Pistonhead members to come and have a good look around her, maybe some pictures of cars infront. If i can time it right we could do a power run for you as well, but would require a donation.

Well chin up, 364 days until Christmas!

Ah the legend is true then!......as well as having the expertise to fix the buggers .....we engineers are always telling you flight deck boys that .....'it's easy to drive the bus!'...........shame there's no Lightnings in the UK that are airworthy.....i've got a few hours in Chippys (aircraft that is) too......

Extra.......you have some very nice toys sir
Merry Christmas from the 'Jetset' guys at EGBB

The Vulcan is truly mighty and we all look forward to seeing XH558 in the air in the future.......well done to the guys keeping '426 in good shape too

Mmmmmm, many fond memories of Vulcans taking off daily from RAF Waddington and drowning out my junior school english teacher Our school was about 2-3 miles as the crow flies, but not a lot between Waddington hill and our school, apart from fields.

Fantastic bit of engineering

Yes count me in too. However you still haven't told me what the deal is with 558 and why that one's in bits and yours appears to be ready to go, and yet that one's getting all the hype. Is it airframe hours or what?
