I have searched every place i know but keep failing - the only place I can find a FIAT 500 for sale is a nicely renovated expensive one - I just want a £250 car as a side street hop around in London for the MRS. any suggestions or am I living in a dream world.

Careful about one of those as a runabout - they don't take to modern petrol too much and may need additives and/or valve seat inserts.

I doubt you'll be able to find a road going one for that price, they've become quite a collector's item. You could probably pick up a shell somewhere and spend a while restoring it yourself... obviously selling it for a hansome profit

I have a cylinder head for a Fiat 500 if you want - complete with valves and springs. And 4 hubcaps.

Well, I guess it's a start!

They are not cheap unfortunately. The Old fiat bodywork has not survived brilliantly. I would have thought looking at price guides that

There's one for sale round the corner from me - I'll have a look tonight, see if it's still there. But I'm almost positive it's a hell of a lot more expensive than your budget.
