Christmas Spirit

Help...!!!!
I can't muster any enthusiasm for Christmas this year. I haven't bought a single present, written a card or anything. I guess the fact that I was relaxing on a beach 2 days ago doesn't encourage me to spend hours in the cold walking around the shops. I just can't be arsed with it all, is this a sign I'm getting old or is everyone else the same?
Bah Humbug, only 3 days left to get my act together.

No, I feel the same way. I have actually told my family not to buy me presents this year because I can't afford to buy them back being about to complete on a property purchase.
I don't really like Christmas anyway, especially all the ructions over whose family you're going to spend it with that seem to start in September.

I empathise with you.
My advice: plan your Christmas shopping with military precision - know exactly what you are going to buy for everyone and where to get it (and if you don't know, change ideas until you do ).
Then blitz the shopping all in one go. Visit only those shops you need to, and buy the items you have planned (I realise I'm in danger of the 'no browsing' thing being an anathma to the female of the species ).
Then get home, pour yourself a large glass of your favourite wine, and bask in the smugness of having completed all your shopping.
Jeremy - basking in smugness with Kingston having been subjected to the full on shopping assault this morning.

t'interweb - all done in the comfort of your own home and delivered to your door.
She's left it a bit late for even that now unfortunately.
Chim_girl do you need me to come and kick some Christmas spirit into you?
Get yourself to the shops tomorrow or Thursday for late night shopping, once you are out you'll be ok
Failing that even though it will be after Christmas Day when I see you, we'll bring some Christmas spirit with us

....a load of online vouchers!
Thanks for the suggesions Phil, I'm sending universal vouchers to the 'kids', cheque book on my desk as I type.
So, I've now got the newphews and nieces sorted with hard cash, I have several 'couples' to buy for. All in their 30's, anyone have any suggestions as to what to give, budget around £25.00 per couple.

Just checked with the exclusive supplier Elizabeth Duke, it would seem they don't have such an highly sought item. Where could I acquire one of these beautiful items?
