Ebuyer, Firebox&Pixmania delivery time experiences

Just how long do orders really take to be delivered?

Guess who did his late Xmas shopping on line and is now starting to regret it?!

Next day delivery my arse!

Did their online delivery tracking work?
Hasn't updated for me at all yet apart from saying "Your order has been processed and is awaiting despatch from our warehouse" for the past 4 days.

I must admit, I ordered a couple of things from Firebox and they dispatched it first class the next day, but it took 4 days to arrive (

Their tracking was accurate though and until it says dispatched (at which point you should get an email) it's still in their warehouse.

Firebox said they'd dispatch it next day but they still haven't.

I think everyone is going to be getting a bottle of booze for xmas while they wait for their real presents

I didn't look at the deliver tracker, I ordered on Sunday morning and got a despatch e-mail yesterday. A big box arrived at my wifes office with the correct stuff this morning.
I did get messed around by iwantoneofthose.com but they sorted it pretty quickly once I got on the phone to them.

Did consider that but the sites assured me that it was OK. But they are bound to say that I suppose!

Ordered a camera from Pixmania on 14th and was delivered this morning. I did have the problem of having to fax copies of driving license and headed paper from work before they would process my order. That may have added a couple of days.

Pixmania have sent mine DHL and that is the only tracking that seems to be of any use from the 3 sites I have used.
Having said that current location was "unknown" and the last recorded status was "Departed Paris".

Knowing my luck its gonna do a world tour before reaching me!

I order from pixmania regularly, there delivery is usualy 24 hrs but I guess it depends on your local UPS despot once it arrives in the UK. The tracking is usualy first class until it leaves the UPS depot.

The tracking number Pixmania gave me was wrong and wouldn't work on the DHL site, so I had to chase things via phone. Not ideal but at least it arrived in the end and I shouldn't get any grief from the gf now her pressie has got here.

Mine says it departed Paris 24 hours ago. I guess it should be here today if their site is to be believed.

If you gt the wrong thing get in touch, they might get muddled up on the plane/ferry, rowing boat!

I bought several items from Firebox at the end of November, all ordered on a Sunday, arrived on the Wednesday. Two items were out of stock, but got a prompt e-mail notification and delivery of those too. It all arrived the same week anyway. I wouldnt be risking any internet shopping this week though.

I ordered a jacket from Germany on Friday 10th December, it arrived on the following Wednesday, Brilliant. (I dont like it though, doesnt suit me, Doh!).

Guess it came on the slow boat. Now All I have to do is hope they get it from London to Portsmouth by tomorrow morning.

I was building a computer for a fellow Pher and we ordered from Ebuyer, paid the extra for garaunteed delivery by the Monday. 1 month later, still nothing arrived, so cancelled the order and orded from dabs.com

I paid for delivery by tomorrow and haven't yet seen the delivery tracking change.

Doh - only just read this and I ordered a camera from Pixmania this morning and I've just sent them a copy of my gas bill....

I only ordered from them because they said they could get the camera to me before Crimbo and because it was cheaper than anywhere else!

Guess I'll have to wait and see.
