I met his cousin in Uganda, about 6 weeks ago. He was doing charity work for the Seattle Rotary club distibuting wheelchairs. Looks very similar.

Hey, George Clooney is my main man! I think you'll find it's EmmaP who adores Clint.

But a fine actor, all the same. And my mum thinks he's gorgeous! And Sean Connery.

He's now also one of the top DIRECTORS of all-time too.

"Million Dollar Baby" is his 25th film as director, and I can't remember when I was last looking forward to a movie so much.

In preparation, I watched "Unforgiven" again last night. What a fantastic film! Definitely in my all-time top ten.

Thanks for that LA.
Clint is an all time hero.

los angeles quoting what Clint said:
"I try to tell a story without flash or fiery camera work".

Only saw "Unforgiven" recently which proves this point. An excellent story well filmed. I was glued till the end and didnt want it to finish.

I know its the obvious one but my best has to be "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". What a fantastic film that is right from the very beginning. The o0nly beginning to rival it must be "Once upon a time in the West".

So PHers, whats you favorite Clint film and why?

(I said Favorite "CLINT" film, not "clit" film!)

The good, the bad and the ugly is definitely my favourite eastwood film, and in my top 5 favourite films. I bought the DVD a few weeks ago, and quentin Tarantino says it all, quoting on the cover "cinematically perfect"

Served me well as a role model too I remember at school one term, kids from a few years higher were always picking fights with us youngsters. (I also had a knack of picking fights with older kids but I digress). When they came running towards us one lunch break, my friends scattering like chickens, I stood my ground under the big old oak, leaning up against the cricket pitch rollers, chewing a piece of wood and wearing my invisible poncho and gun belt

"So whats it to be, then?"

Clint Eastwood - now there's a man who knows about space and timing.

I'm not sure I have a favourite of his films. The spaghetti westerns are brilliant, but I also really enjoy The Outlaw Josey Wales, and his film about Charlie Parker (probably called Bird?) was excellent.

Pale Rider is superb, Judas suggested Clint would be perfect as the retired Batman in The Dark Knight Returns, totally agree.

we are indeed not worthy. Thanks for the article LA.

I enjoyed reading that tribute to Clint, los angeles. My favourite spaghetti western of his is 'The Outlaw Josey Wales', but above all I love his character Dirty Harry and would probably say 'The Enforcer'.

Emma, heres one he said earlier:

Callahan: Well, when an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the bastard. That's my policy.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher's knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross....

Coolness defined. Marvellous stuff
