Livigno Italy - Skiing
Discussion
So has anybody been to Livigno in Italy skiing?
Friends are going for New Year (we can't due to baby bump) and are wondering what it's like...

very high. pretty much snow sure, but can be bloody freezing if windy, great intermediate or beginner resort.
Good for boarding pretty young. Long transfer (milan)
Decent if tacky nightlife very cheap compared to swiss resorts. Gets a bit mobbed with italian shoppers at the weekend but slopes were pretty uncrowded good with queues only bad at the bottom lifts at the start of day.
Ugly as..but great value for money and good fun

I went years ago, it was a duty free resort then. We had all our gear nicked out of the coach on the way there when we stopped at the cafe half way from the airport. IIRC the number of runs is very limited and the lower runs were slush by the beginning of March.
Overall impression, "pleased the holiday didn't cost much!!"
