Jeez, TV must be rubbish tonight.... got to thinking 'How many pixels have I got in my house?'

17" TFT monitor 1280x1024 = 1.31Mp
DSLR = 6.1Mp
Digital compact = 3.2Mp
Viewfinders on above (approx) = 0.27Mp
Mobile phone = 0.01Mp
TV running PAL = 720x576 = 0.41Mp

Total: 11.3 million pixels

simpo, much as I hate to add to this. I feel I must

18.1" TFt and my 300d is 6.3mp and the ixus 500 i keep for close work is 5mp, then of course we move on the the other stuff like laptops and the like......

Bad luck, all TVs are PAL 720 x 576 = 0.4Mp each. So that lot gets you 2Mp.

Come on then - come and have a go if you think you're hard enuff....

In front of my now I have 3x17" monitors all running 1600x1280, two are dual headed into my main box, the other I can switch between the other 3 PC's under my desk.

To my left far I have an old sony running at 1280x1024 connected to a 5th box that I use just for mail.

To my right is my lap top, which when on runs at 1024x764. Upstairs is another PC in the guest room running at 1024x768.

Then I havea goofy little touch pad Windows CE thingy kicking around at 640x480.

Then there is the digicam and my mobile phone...

Gotta be approachin 10,000,000

Now once I got out and buy a few of these DSLR thingies, what ever they are you'll all be quaking in yer boots...

I had been worrying about how many pixels I had for some time now.

Thanks to your hard work and diligence I now know that I don't quite have enough, and will takes steps to remedy the situation over Xmas.

I feel a pointless purchase coming on...lol
