Fking lodger keeps turning the heating on constant and not turning it off! She goes out and the house is like a sauna!!!

A re-settable thermostat, controlled by a clock? Mine has 4 time settings, with the possibility of each day of the week being different.

Kept the kids from doing the same thing.

Best option is to allow the house to get unbearably hot.

Then apply your "no clothes when the temperature exceeds 18 degrees" rule.

She comes home from work. You are naked.

She'll get the message. And you might learn something about her...

I put one on my front door saying Set the Alarm when my son kept forgetting to set it.

Tell her that if she keeps leaving the heating on in an empty house, you might have to increase her rent to pay for this. Very often, money focusses the mind somewhat!

Turn the gas off at the meter when you go out and hang a note off the boiler saying "disconnected cant pay the bill"
