Its entertaining as long as you don't take it too seriously, the second one is better though.

Lots of fit women + Fast cars even if some do look quite silly!, check out the Jetter outside the the coffee shop!.

Oh God - dreadful film. I knew nothing about it and was persuaded by a mate of mine to see it at the cinema, as apparently it was about muscle cars and the American street-racing scene. I'd seen the clip of the Charger wheel-standing and assumed it was more of the same.

Oh. Dear. Me.

IMO that film unfortunately made chav cars (and I mean proper all-show-no-go laxxer chav w*nkers here) 'cool', as now they're seen as movie stars vehicles of choice. IMO a film on similar lines (ie disengage-brain, music-video fodder) needs making with better cars, perhaps based around the Pony Car wars, the club road-rallying boom or moonshine running - ie we need a new Cannonball Run or Smoky & The Bandit.

Hell, I happen to have noticed that the women in this film are very, very fit, looking at the current scene for example. However, if you were to go to a modified car meet at the moment in this country, I suspect that they would all be chavettes!!! Ah, Hollywood.

The modding scene in the US is soooo different to the Chav scene. The two can't really be compared

Maybe so, but it's bloody awful. What's wrong with wanting quality entertainment anyway?

It let me down the first time, it annoys me rather than entertains me. To see a film like that done right, watch Gone In 60 Seconds

It is horrid.

I'm usually ok with the 'leave brain at door' type of movie, but I very nearly got up and left after the first 15 or so minutes, the ONLY movie I have ever contemplated doing that in.

At least there were some hotties, and the supremely cool Charger at the end.

Don't waste your time!! Polish the car, clean the wheels, empty the ashtray, hell, go take a 2 hour sht!! Just don't waste time watching this movie.

All IMHO, of course.

What, a film glamourising car theives nicking nice motors, and the god-awful jump at the end???

Operative word being 'nice motors'.

I know you're a fan of Japanese performance cars, but it's just rather naff - I mean, if I want to see awful bodykits, stupidly large stereos and horrid paint jobs I'll go to Stockport town centre on a Saturday night. Do they have to look like that?

I like Gone In 60 because the cars in it are , as is Angelina Jolie (dunno who the ones in F&F are but they look a bit Burberry), and, unfeasible jump or not, the car chases are actually enjoyable, whereas in F&F it's all drag racing, won by pressing the N2O2 button.

Very dull, very vacuous and not even enjoyable if I give my brain the night off.

They don't count. Up to and including Saving Private Ryan - starring Tom Hanks - Vin Diesel was a good support actor mainly appearing in independent films and earning union rates. After TFATF he demanded $20 million a picture ... and gave up acting.

Hey he might have only been supporting Tom Hanks in Shaving, sorry Saving Private Ryan, but it definitely gave him more stardom than TFATF ever could have. It's the only Academy Award winner he's ever likely to star in!

Hasn't been on yet (bloody news) so keep your eyes peeled. At the end of the final race (Supra vs Charger) VD flips the charger, you can clearly see the driver is wearing a helmet.
