1) Ernest saves Xmas (possibly should have been on the 'Movies you are embarassed to like' thread)
2) Die Hard (sort of Christmassy)
3) Home Alone

Agree with....

Home Alone
Die Hard

Also that one with Dudley Moore as an elf that runs away from the North Pole (with John Lithgow)

-All '60s/'70s Bonds, particularly ones involving skiing.
-Back To The Future trilogy (my Dad always cringes at the second one with the flying Citroen DS)
-Independance Day
-Ronin
-The ideal Christmas film, for Christmas Eve at least, is one you vaguely remember coming on at the cinema a while ago but never went to see. Last year they showed Rush Hour, which I'd never seen and thought was going to be crap, but it wasn't - nice surprise.

Oh, and Clarkson was right - The Great Escape is never on! There was a time when it was played incessantly over Christmas and New Year, but over, say, the last ten years I can't particularly remember in being on.

Miracle on 34th Street, preferably the 1947 version but the recent one is great too.
