8 Days to go, longer days a-coming

Well, in 8 days time, the days start to get longer again.

OK, it won't be particularly noticeable straight away, but the long hard slog called winter time reaches its peak of darkness.

the nights start drawing out before 21st december.

The 21st is the shortest day but not the earliest sunset. Its because Sun raise is still late.

I think it came up in some trivia game a played.

Its the same for the longest day.
