Did anyone else see this potentially fascinating programme ruined by the irritating, self-obsessed and utterly useless female "presenter". She even annoyed the archaeologist she was 'working' with! I had to turn it off when she said that she had to come out of the tomb (at the moment it was first uncovered and she had stepped inside) because "the public can't see me" - we weren't watching to see her, whatever she thinks.

Its not like the chance to witness something like that comes up every day - grrrrr - still angry. Why couldn't they have sent someone with any clue on the subject matter.

My thoughts exactly. She was a suitable candidate if they wanted to recreate the burial. Could have been a great programme, and I bet C5 are regretting it now.

I could not agree more. Switching between this and "Sports Personality Kelly Holmes of the Year Kelly Holmes" this could have been superb. But whilst I love the Egyptian guy (head of antiquities or something?), the woman was just like some excitable schoolgirl who wouldn't shut up for two minutes.

Annoying.

Yep turned it off too. Could have been great.

You can picture the producer and director shouting furiously " THE CAMERA HAS STEAMED UP, WE CAN'T SEE A THING!!'

I also picture the bods at channel five watching viewers drop off.

Shame.

I can forgive them for the technical issue to be fair - they probably didn't expect the temperature differential and misting of the cameras, but the poor planning of the show and abysmal presenting from whatsername was unforgiveable. I reckon she only went so she could get a free holiday in Egypt...

I watched the first 20 mins then went to bed, sounds like I didn't miss much. What did they actually find when they went in the tomb?

The one after Cleopatra.

Watched the Cleopatra one, it was mediocre I thought. A lot of faff in order to fill out an hour.

I agree about Cleo Mrs Fish - sensationalist remarks like "this revelation" when it fact it was just common sense!

I don't know what they found because the presenter had me on the verge of smashing my TV up so I had to turn it off!

Not sure what they found, didn't watch the end.

Probably their P45's buried in the sand.

I only caught the first five mins and switched over, but then i switched back and caught the last five mins.

You want to know what they found?

Nothing!!!

They could not get into any of the tombs in the alloted time major embarassment me thinks!

Presenters like that make you really seriously appreciate Attenborough.

I caought some of it/the end.

What a patheticly anoyig presenter.

Either too scared or told she couldnt do anything, also totaly clueless on the subject matter, and must have thought 'Presenter' meant constant noise producer.

Would have done better with an archeologist as presenter, even if they werent as pretty.
