For years now he does all all year, then cynically releases a song or album for Xmas. He's done it agin this year, and I seem to recall that a few years ago he got really arsey when DJ's refused to play his New Xmas Crap because of the reasons above and they felt he was simply trying to use them.

Given that he professes to be a Christian, is he not the most cynical, hypocritical and neauseating er in the country as he uses Xmas for commercial gain more than anyone else I can think of.

Or am I missing something in this?

I'd happily push him off a geographical feature that bears his name...

Yeah, but he's still better than "I'd like to give you one for Xmas"

In song quality, not looks!

Let me be clear - it's not his mediocre music that especially offends me, although I would never have it on my Jukebox.

It is his totally cynical approach to Christmas commercialism that as a Christian he is supposed to be against.

Total hypocrite in my book.

I think he's trying to break a record - a number 1 hit in five consecutive decades. Got 1960's thru to 1990's, just needs one in the 2000's. Think Christmas is perhaps his best opportunity to crack this, IMO he's a bit too old hat now to manage this at any other time.
