You can't say that, my girlfriend will hunt you down and mock you with a penguin (she's wierd like that)...apparently Steve is a smarmy bd, i wouldn't know, i never saw the program, never knew it existing until a text message this evening

Lets just face it, there is only a finite amount of quality programming avalible to the world and with the explosion of (digital) TV stations that quality is being severly diluted.

G4 were the superior act, but after Sharon Osbourne made her utterly stupid comments about Steve I can see why the population hit the phones to support him.

What truly makes a mockery of decent bands are these dross shows we seem to lap up and judge people who do not deserve airtime on a whim!!!
There are very talented unknown artists and bands out there who struggle to get a look in, and who have real passion and talent, because of crappy 'keep the populus entertained on a Saturday evening and make them believe they have control' shows,,, we deserve all we get for falling for it,,,,,, just a shame for the real talents

Why did they all have really stupid names?

First Kitten on BB, and now Tabby on X Factor.

What's up with people?

The only one who really deserved to win it was Tabby imho

But there is no way the two pros were not going to get the final

Agree. But Tabby IS a rockstar and will become a megger-legend.

Didn't he split from his band earlier on to go solo?

I bet the rest of the band are enjoying his demise.

Don't confuse looking like a rock star and actually being a rock star.

He does seem to have a bit of talent, although he mimed when the Osbournes wheeled him out at half time during Watford V Portsmouth (no idea why...) a while back. Not that it mattered, as most people were booing him anyway, and those that weren't were too busy chanting "who nicked your valuables?" to Ozzy. I think they may have misjudged who their audience is!

Anyone else clock that he seems to have the same pattern on his guitar that Zakk Wyld (ex Ozzy guitarist) has? Don't know if that was a coincidence or some sort of obscure Ozzy tie-in. Given the X Factor audience, I'm guessing the former...

I wouldn't get too worried, I'm sure it's just a fad we're going through. Look at the last winner of pop idol (that fat bird), did her song even reach number 1? We got 3 stars from the first pop idol, now the 2nd and third place people wouldn't get a recording contract. Just like boy bands only lasted a few years, the TV show stars will lose popularity and we won't have to put up with their whining.

Wouldn't it great for a competition like this be made for TV where REAL bands come together and do covers AND ORIGINAL MATERAIL. I would really love to see something like that. Imagine the amusement of watching all the rubbish bands at the beginning of the series, to watch them up their game as the show went on and then to pull off some really awesome performances at the end of the series.

I'm guessing it wouldn't be popular enough though
