Why do some people do it?

Just been killing some time searching on ebay for things I don't need. Do the obligatory searches for 'porsche', 'ferrari', etc and keep getting items like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18308&item=4509672954&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

A Lambo Muira yours now for £19K, also came across a new mountain bike that I woould like, retails for around £4K, mine on ebay now for £750!

It costs these people to put this rubbish up, unless of course today was free listing day, or soon to be renamed, scammers upload day!

It's a scam - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=142055&f=23&h=0

I found the original advert & website he stole the photo's off by checking the chassis numbers & body colours of US based Muira's and cam up with these.

I'd say 60% of Ebay is just a load of old crap.

OK, now he's f***ed. 'Someone' has just 'asked seller a question', which should appear on the listing, showing the link to the real car

There is more than one kind of c**t in this world, eh...?

Most of eBay works amazingly well - but the car department does seem to be full of people with foreign names and a feedback of 0.
Oh shit, one just bought my BMW!

It's possibly the same ar5ehole as 'sisco1921' from whom I bought a £50,000 Ferrari for a pittance back in August. I din't pay up, unsurprisingly he didn't pursue it, although I got an Ebay email saying they were pursuing HIM . That account is defunct now too. Alas the sad twat didn't realise that once I'd bid, I could find his real email address

To be honest, and I am going to make a huge assumption here, but Nigeria needs to have all it's Internet Access cancelled.

The country has repeatedly, and over many years, shown that they can't be trusted to behave responsibly with technology. It use to be fax machines they sent scamming attempts on. Now they are a constant irritant on the 'Net.

No can do, that's racist. They must have free internet access for all, paid by the EU.

..and if their scamming business fails we should then invite them over to live here with no valid contribution to society and house them next to your £250,000 home for free.

It's only right.

Classic, just got this in my inbox.

I asked a question about the £750 (£4500) mountain bike, it had a location of London, as luck has it I'm in London all the time.

So I ask if I can come and view the bike:

Response:
"No that is not possible because i am afraid to meet with strangers."

This was sent to me yesterday and my response. Strangely enough, I haven't heard back from him.

Dear Goerge

Many thanks for your delightful email received this afternoon. I feel sorry for your plight and would like to do something to help you. What can I do for you?

I wonder if you would consider putting money in to a charity I am fond of? It is Charity Under National Treasures or C.U.N.T for short. Do you think you could be a supporter of C.U.N.T? If so, we could make you an honorary C.U.N.T.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards

Johnny

Dear Blessed One,
As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me,because, I believe everyone will die someday. My name is goerge boka ,a merchant in South Africa and Zimbabwe I have been diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. It has defiled all forms of medical treatment, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts. I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone(not even myself)but my business.Though I am very rich, I was never generous,I was always hostile to people and only focused on my business as that was the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money in the world. I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I would live my life a different way from how I have lived it. Now that God has called me, I have willed and given most of my property and assets to my immediate andextended family members as well as a few close friends. I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul so, I havedecided to give also to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charity organizations in the U.A.E, Algeria,Malaysia and some countries in Africa. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore.

I once asked members of my family to close one of my
accounts and distribute the money which I have there to
charity organization in Bulgaria and Pakistan, they refused
and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust
them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I
have left for them.
The last of my money which no one knows of is the huge cash deposit of Twenty Five Million United States Dollars US$25,000,000,00 that I have with a Security Company abroad. I will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatched it to charity organizations. I have set aside 10% for you, your time and also any expenses incured during this Great task.

God be with you.

goerge boka

I have been so disappointed in Ebay that I have just closed my account, you get, on the whole, what you pay for, that is very evident from the crud I blindly bid and bought off the car boot sale site!!

I get loads of the Nigerian style scammers so I reply with a few pictures of my Ferrari which will take them ages to download with a dial up modem. You could do the same to eBay scammers.

Here`s an Ebay item which has wound me up. I need a 620ti engine for a project, so was waiting for the end of auction to snipe. Some tw@t with zero rating has pushed the bidding up by £200. No way is the engine worth £300. Someone is being stung. Whats the betting it`s relisted next week?
