Aaaaghhh I hear you all say, probably been done to death here, but can't find any recent threads.

I've done all I can, registered with TPS online but I'm still receiving AUTOMATED spam phone calls.

What on earth are you supposed to do, in order to get a peaceful evening, without a recording of some tw@t American offering you a holiday in Fort Lauderdale?

The one i received last month, was actually an automated voice! I thought Steven Hawkings had turned to double glazing sales!!

It's not fair, at least when it's a person calling to sell you cr@p, you can amuse yourself by annoying them back. This just isn't cricket.

and breathe...

They originate outside the US so dont get covered by the TPS.

The only thing you can do is screen your calls on an answering machine.

If the predictive dialler hears an answering machine tone it will drop the call...

The one I received yesterday was on the answer machine (the BT thingy, maybe that doesn't have a tone).

I'm seriously considering never answering my landline again, hardly anyone uses it.
