Who is The Stig?

This time round they're apparently being obsessive with the secret identity of JC's wheelman. My money is on Tim Harvey, but I've heard Rob Huff mentioned. Who do the PH Sherlocks believe the current Stig to be?

Apparently not, and 'they' want to keep this one shtum, but I suspect that the collective intelligence and insider dealing on PH could crack this one - in opinion market stylee, the name put forward most often will likely be right.

I've always just presumed its a couple of/few different blokes, the need to use different drivers being the rationale behind creating the Stig character.

Interesting point of view. I personally thought Stig was just dreamt up, purely in the televisual sense and not as a rational thought, to cover multiple drivers identities. The way I look at it is, it makes good (not great) TV and that that coincided with the concept and the idea for the latest format of Top Gear.
