Hmmm. I have a dilemma.

Faithless tickets booked for this Saturday in Manchester (Apollo).

Was going to drive up. No worries. However, car currently has no ABS, no head unit and a pretty much straight through exhaust.

ABS *should* be fixed. Head unit almost certainly won't be.

So, as much as I love the thing, I'm not sure I can handle two and half hours of that exhaust. And I'll be a total mess Sunday so would rather not drive.

Wayhay, time for the train.

Ah. It's 54 quid. Well that's not terrible.

Ah, it takes FOUR hours to get there. Jeez.

Oh well, iPod and beer will see me through.

ee its not that bad. Use the train quite a bit and don't find them too bad, easier than driving most of the time anyay.

To be honest of one is going city centre to city centre, and won't need a car at the other end nothing beats the train over a long distance. Particularly if going out on the beer!

Buy the tickets in advance and they are even quite cheap! However usually I need the car at the other end.

Hey, don't hate trains.

If you think about it, trains keep some of the people off the roads and therefore, out of our way!!

Try not to worry too much about getting the train. I had to get on a BUS yesterday. I'm in therapy now.

exactly! public transport is for people who don't like cars, people who don't like them are unlikely to drive them well = numpties, less numptiess = safer roads

Yeah, trains are OK as they're kept out of our way, got to generally useful places and aren't full of dawdling chavs.

Buses on the other hand do all of the above and worse.
