How do i find out the owner of prem. rate sms?

Keep getting very annoying SMS's. Apparently I have £4000 and a date waiting for me would you believe

Really cant believe that people fall for this crap!

Anyway is there any way of finding out the company that owns the message either via the premium rate number or the SMS short code?

phone your phone provider, they will give you a number you can text to where they deal with spam. you forward the sms to them...for some you can just reply stop and that does it.

a mate recieved several phone ring type texts,,ignored them and was charged 1 pound 50 for each one he recieved!!! problem now sorted after 50 notes were stolen from his phone account.

Skodafone told me that you're unlikely to be charged unless you open the message, which is fine so long as you have a phone that'll let you do that...and of course so long as she wasn't spinning me a web of s**t in order to get rid of me It's pretty annoying that, as the service/network provider, they can't or won't tell you who's sending this crap or more to the point, block it.

Ah yes, it was your thread that prompted a precautionary call to Skodafone. Apparently my cringe-worthy phone bill is however, just me chatting too much guff.
