Me and the family are off to Oz tonight for 3 weeks.

Anyone know if you can hire a Holden / monaro V8 in Sydney? Got to be worth a blast if we can get our hands on one for a couple of days.

Any help apreciated.

I'm 90% sure you can. There are plenty of hire places in Sydney's CBD (central business district). I used Hertz there once and they had some "premium" cars.

Loads to choose from, there's one next to the Ferarri garage down William Street that, IIRC, had "posh" cars (we're talking MX5's, Z3's and so on not Lambo's etc).

If you are staying at a hotel - I have no doubt the concierge would be able to help you out.

Where are you staying?

Staying in Darling Harbour in an apartment.

We've got 6 days in Sydney, so should be able to see a fair bit of the City.

Thanks for the reply, we'll look out for your suggestions.

Off to catch the plane now....Wahooooo! 42 degrees here we come!

(I'm going to miss PH though)

Whilst in Sydney it's worth a trip to the zoo on the ferry. The view of the city is fantastic and make sure you see the bird show whilst there.

Where else are you going?

Leaving at 2pm for Heathrow, so a quick post before I go.

We're doing the bridge walk in Sydney(cripes) and the Blue Mountains, then flying to Adelaide for 5 nights and then on to Perth for Christmas on a huge ranch (140,000 cattle and over 300,000 sheep apparantly)! Shouldn't have to worry about meat for the barby!

If we manage to get a Holden, I'll post some pics when I get back.

Bye all, a bit early I know, but have a good Christmas everyone.

Enjoy yourself.

I'm off to Thailand for Christmas and New Year. Boxing day will be a Full Moon party.

Bit better than watching Queenie, followed by re-runs of Bond films (however much I might like them).
