Fire Walk With Me...

One problem - it gives away a lot of the secrets from the series that you won't have realised.
The working title for the film was "(some women who's name I've forgotten) and the last seven days of Laura Palmer"
The first half of the film is a different murder case, which at best has only been mentioned in passing in what you've seen (IIRC, when the letter is found under Laura Palmer's fingernail).
The second half assumes that you know who Laura Palmer's killer is. You see that person in a completely different light and he/she (it?) is very scary.
Also, you probably have no idea about Killer Bob yet. Or the one-armed man.
So whilst the film is very good (in a weird, David Lynch way), it probably won't make much sense, and will spoil the rest of the series for you.

The book "The Diary of Laura Palmer" gives you a better idea of what happened preceding her murder.
