I know I'm late but I only just got around to seeing this (the new £60 box set with ghastly plastic figurine of Neo is out today and that prompted me to buy the £9.99 cheapo version from HMV over the weekend).

What a load of utter rubbish! And what's her face who plays Trinity... ... So what's with the crappy love scenes?!?!

And the really annoying thing is that I'm going to have to buy the third one now, just to see what happens!

It's not worth it. No 3 is only marginally better than 2 IMHO

I'm afraid that if you but part 3 you will have to see Trinity do the worst ****** scene ever. (I nearly ruined the story line for you there).
Seriously, part1 was OK but it all goes down hill after that. Still, the special effects are good.

Should have stopped with the first one imho. That made sense as an idea. II and III don't

It's true.

The 1st film was ground-breaking and well thought-out.

The 2nd film introduced a load of mumbo-jumbo and claptrap, but had some interesting ideas and set up the whole possibility of the "real world" actually being another part of the Matrix (which is why Neo is able to bring down the sentinels at the end of the film)

In the 3rd film, they've got a load of difficult questions to answer in order to tie up the trilogy, and they just shrug and say " it" and don't bother, instead making it into a poor action film. Deeply disappointing and a total cop-out.

Worth watching for completeness though, and the mechs are cool if you're into mechs. Which I am.
