Terri Calvesbert appeal.
Discussion
Some months ago, I watched a documentary featuring a remarkable little girl called Terri Calvesbert. Terri received 85% burns in a fire, when she was 18 months old.
She has undergone operations and treatments, in her 8 years that most if not all of us, will never have to have.
If anybody on here remembers the programme televised about this beautiful, remarkable child, they will understand, how I and probably the rest of the watching public felt at the time of the programme. I am not too proud to say that I wept uncontrollably at the sight of her, and her devoted Father, trying to live each day and come to terms with what has happened. As a Father myself I understood perfectly the emotional upheaval and the responsibility faced by Terri's Father and the love and devotion he showed to her was simply remarkable.
At the time all I could do, was what thousands of others have done before me, which was to make a donation to Terri's appeal. This is set up to help provide a life for Terri and her Father. Sadly because of the pressure of living with this tragedy, her Father's marriage to Terri's Mother failed and they became divorced.
I am proud to say that my friends, family and business acquaintances also found it in their hearts to make donations to the appeal and would like to now take this opportunity to bring it to the attention of the Pistonhead's community. At the time of the programme I had not discovered Pistonhead's. I have searched for any previous thread's on this topic but cannot find any.
Terri's full story is available here at the website run by the Evening Standard. Please understand that the pictures on this site can be quite graphic.

Could I take this opportunity to thank everybody who takes the time to read this post and who is able to make a donation, however small. If it is possible to make the thread a "sticky", I would be eternally grateful to the Moderators.
Donations can be sent to the Evening Standard newspaper, marked "Terri Calvesbert Appeal".
