When does Christmas really start for you?
Discussion
Despite all the shops and TV telling us that Christmas starts sometime in late August, when does it really feel like Christmas to you?
It is Christmas to me when I visit my mum and there are little bowls of choccies and mixed nuts on the sideboard for visitors. Also when we put up the Christmas tree on Dec 10th (my wife's birthday) any earlier and it doesn't seem that near to Christmas.

Christmas really starts at 7.30 pm on Christmas Eve when we meet with other villagers to sing carols round the Christmas tree and enjoy mulled wine from the local pub.
We will be getting a little taster on December 11th as we have a mini Christmas shopping fest in the market place. Last year we were dancing in the street to a progressive rock band. Very sureal.
Life in our village is very different.
