Has anyone else listed to Scott Mills on Radio one?

He has been doing mad phone calls using clips of celebrity voices and they are brilliant!!

He phoned up a publishers last night using clips of Zippy from Rainbow.

Has anyone listened to them?

What your favorite

Heard a few. It's v clever but I can't understand how he manages to keep people on the line for so long. Can't they tell it's a wind up!
I fear it represents a dumbing down of the entire nation!

I heard one last week with the voice of Bo Selecta's Trisha. That was quite good, got the girl on the other end of the phone to shout "PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAS!" to her "RICE!"

Don't listen to Radio 1 normally though, just happened to be on in the lab I was in. Radio 2 for me please. And I'm 22 btw. So what audience exactly are they trying to appeal to these days

If you want the king of wind-ups, search for Roy C Mercer (google or kazaa)

Why not do your own with the celebrity soundboards on www.ebaumsworld.com You can't beat the one with Gunny Hartman from Full Metal Jacket

I got phoned up in the middle of the night once by someone with a voice synthesizer pretending to be Steven Hawking. He said that he was 'doing a survey of underachieving students'. When I answered back to rumble me, he started doing a series of funny insults through the Hawking-synth.

i dont think I have ever heard a radio dj more annoying or unfunny that scott mills. Sarah Cox was a challenger though I must say.

Well said. The most un-funny, non-dj'ing sounding bloke on the radio.

He's the equivalent of a stand in teacher with no experience.

I believe he really likes me though!

Sara Cox might be fit but she has the most annoying chav voice on radio. I can't stand listening to her. Lets hope she never returns to Radio 1!

Best radio host by a mile is James Whale. His late-night show about 7 years ago on Talk Radio (before it became talkSPORT) was the most simultaneously funny and informative thing on the air. I don't know what he's doing these days (or whether the radio station's making him do sport exclusively), but he was responsible for many accidental lie-ins on school days I can tell you! (it was a 'through the night' show).

Target audience is 15 - 24 IIRC. Probably why i stopped listening to the daytime shows when Mar & Lard left.
