I'll give you 9 shillings and thruppence ha'penny for the jukebox, I assume that carriage is included as you haven't given a price.

If it's yours, just nobble the mechanism surely? Or open it and get the other coins out...?

John, you are class!

It is mine, I can put up free credits, I just thought it would be nice to have a tray of old coins so people could play as they will!

When I worked in a bank, we used to have a little 'slag' tray in the corner of each till for collecting all the dross that folk tried to pass off as legal tender. One Xmas the assistant manager told me I could have whatever I could find in them, so I emptied all six and took the haul home.
When I sorted them I found sixpences galore, coins from all over the world, coins from the 18th century, washers, buttons...

I still have an 1899 1 pfennig (Germany) and a WW2 Reichsmark complete with Swastika... and loads of bloody sixpences... (and a pound note!) but sorry, no old 10p's...

Edit: before Eric Mc spotted it, I changed Deutschemark to Reichsmark...

I'm pretty sure I've got a bag ful of old 50p's and several of old 10p's. I'll see what I can dig out - send me an e-mail to remind me, otherwise I can guarantee I'll forget.

Little known fact but the old 2 shilling piece (the old 10p) is the same size and weight as a new £2 coin

Not that I'm advocating it's use in vending machines and the like!

Err, yes it's true.

The old 'florin' two shilling pieces from the 50's and 60's.

I work for a well known cash-in-transit company, and we get a fair few of them in car park tins!
