My very first sports car was a 1954 Triumph TR2, bought at auction in 1965 for £55! Had overdrive wired up to work on all four forward gears = 8 and so much play in the steering it was leeeeethal!
See this is the slightly later TR3 with 'short' doors. Mine was the original 'long' door with no sill beneath them. When you parked next to a high curb, you couldn't open the doors to get out!
Still, many happy miles. Wonder if it still exists? - NWF 345.
Quite nice to look at one now as an antique, but actually not the prettiest of cars of that era? The Healey 100/4 which I had later was much nicer (although it drove like a tractor!)
Come to think of it, the TR engine WAS used in tractors!!
