Carb restoration

Hi.

Have a fuel leak from one of my carbs. Having taken them off and inspected this is s job beyond me.

They need a thorough clean and probably rebuild from the slack in everything and the amount of deposits visible.

I was recommended a firm called JCS. However they are not taking on work at the moment.

Has anyone any other suggestions?

Carbs are Weber DCOE's

Hi don't know if Burlen refurb Webers but the seem to sell the kits for them. Might be worth contacting them.

You could try Eike Wellhausen at Chatsworth Motor Spares at Chesterfield. He has a good reputation for Webers.

Where are you Dave? If you are in Scotland I can do them for you. Failing that you can post them to me. Out of interest, what car are they on?

Hi.

Am in Luxembourg!

But, I get everything car and bike related done in uk. (after the local BMW garage failed to bolt back a fairing and then the Saab place didn't tighten wheel nuts)

The carbs are on (off) my GT Junior.

They were supposed to have been done before I took the car on (8 years ago) but I am beginning to doubt it.

I'd be really interested in your offer jith. Perhaps you could pm me?

Very quickly, what would a rough estimate of turn around be? Am in Edinburgh in mid may, might help with logistics.
