Ive noticed in the last couple of weeks the amount of classic coming back on to the road that to say my dads mgb gt was used during the winter. Saw a riley elf, tr7, several minis and mg, aston martin DB4 and various more out and about really nice to see these cars out on the road and really stand out from the reams of boring dull euro boxes that litter the roads these days. I might be getting my self a mini cooper to join in the fun soon.

I know what you mean, its classic car time.I got mine out of hibernation this month and today was its first good run,the sun is out, hood down, shades on.No sooner had we got on the open road we got a flash and a wave from another classic coming the other way and by the time we got home must have counted four more.Looking forward to the old girls first show very soon.

Just today I've seen an E-Type, a Triumph Stag and TR6, an MGB roadster and 2 Morris Minor 1000 Pickups.

I love this time of year.

I saw 9 on the 10 mile trip to the gym on Saturday- some stunners including an old black Daimler (Reg 'JAP 100'), some camper vans, an Aston (DB5 or 6) with a racing sticker on the side, and various MG's.

That's 'cos we are at that magical time of year when it's dry enough to take a Stag out without it rusting, but not so warm that they'll overheat..

(J/K)

I like seeing the cars out too. Ace Cafe classic cars night tomorrow, really looking forward to it!

I use mine as much as I can all year round. The vitesse has been used at least once a week all through the winter, even vetured out on Boxing day in -10 degrees. The morris minor is also used whenever it is needed. the Austin seven does tend to not get out during the winter due to the fact it has no doors or windows

I was also out this weekend in the 911 after getting it's Mot done on Friday. It was great to see so many characterful cars out. Really makes a change!

It was the perfect weather though wasn't it? The 911 also has a ideal temperature range due to the appalling heating and ventilation system! ie no heating and no ventilation smile

There's definitely something in the air, in the past week or so I've noticed all the 'local' goodies coming out to play.

Took my P6 V8 down to London yesterday for a Sweeney related meet up where a Mk1 Granada 3.0 Ghia, a Mk2 2.8i and a Mk2 Escort turned up amongst other stuff. We caused quite a reaction in the West End traffic and got some wry smiles from the armed coppers outside the Libyan embassy ;o)
