I'm currently bringing a '41 American Ford pick up back to life which is 'mildly' hot rodded, I need to replace the electric fuel pump as its siezed, although the pick up runs a smallblock Chevrolet V8 I beleive the pump is British.

It's about 5 1/2" long and 2 1/2" wide, although in the pictures it looks like its made of metal its actually a light grey plastic, unfortunately there are no codes or references on the pump, but I do know its at least 17 to 20 years old.

Don't suppose anyone recognises it??

If you're running a carburettor (Holley?), then any low pressure pump with sufficient volume output will do the job. You might get away with a Facet red top, but I would recommend the Mallory 4110, which runs much more quietly than the Holley equivalent. I'm assuming you can't refit the standard mechanical pump (lack of space?).

Hi, thanks for the reply, sorry what I should have said is I could fit a different pump ie Holley/Mallory, but wanted to see if I could identify the one fitted first.

Reason being is it avoids having to alter fuel lines and mounting brackets (I'm really trying to avoid having to drill fresh holes in the old girl if it can be avoided)...

Sorry, can't help with the identification, but a Mallory would fit in the same position with the same lines as your current pump. BTW, your fuel lines look a bit small if you're running more than 300BHP.

Thanks Mike I'll look into a Mallory over the weekend.

Fuel lines may look a tad small but they've been powering the old girls 327 fine for the past 20 years, so who am I to mess with history..

I've managed via the power of PH to identify the pump as a Walbro model number 2401..

Don't suppose anyone has one or could recommed a supplier, I've had a good old google but am coming up blank, there's a virtual beer in it....
