Starting problems

As for some classics' hibernation is almost over a timely tail -

I spoke with a nice chap the other day whilst looking at his lovely Sunbeam Alpine and to cut a long story short he told me he'd spent two years and a change of a few components including a starter motor on a starting problem, he wasn’t a fool and knew about his marque and car

What was the problem –

he put on a new battery and all now seems well

He felt annoyed at himself for messing about and being annoyed with his car for two years but as I said he certainly wasn’t a fool and knew all about his marque and car just didn’t think of the battery as the car would sometimes start without effort

Staring problems
– start your problem solving at the battery - charge, water levels, lugs and connections clean, secure and protected – then work your way forward to other items
